PRIDE OF THE EASTSIDE

THE GRAND GATHERING OF THE CLASS OF 1960

Here is information about our 50th class reunion:
GRAND it will be!  The date and place have been set.  Our dinner event will be on Saturday, September 18th, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. to 12:00 p.m.  at Jimmy's Conference and Catering Center in Vadnais Heights near County Road E and I-35E.  This is still on the good old Eastside and owned by Johnson's own Jimmy Proulx.

The committee started planning this event in January, 2009 and we are excited about this important gathering of the great class of 1960!

What's most important is WE WANT YOU THERE!  Many of us were there for our last reunion - the 40th in 2000.  It was a great time but we anticipate our 50th will be even better.

At this time, and in addition to our dinner event, we are planning a golf event on Friday, September 17th. We were planning a tour of the old Johnson High on York Avenue on Sunday (September 19th) morning but we have determined that it would be of little interest since the building has retained nothing that would help us recall the "glory days". We still plan to hold a picnic at a park  that Sunday though.  Keep checking the Events Information link on this website as planning progresses.

A major effort now is  "Finding our Classmates."  People have moved and changed contact information.  We are doing our best, but need your help!  Check out the list of Missing Classmates HERE
and let us know if you know where any of them are.  Also, if you know of any classmates who have died, we certainly want to know that too.  Check out the link Deceased Classmates HERE  for a list of those we know have died.  We hold them in fond memory and will not forget them!

Now, for those of you who could not come to our 40th reunion, have not come to any reunions, or chose not to come for some reason -- - WE MISSED YOU!  Please think about coming to our 50th.  Our reflections and experiences of our days together at Johnson High School varied.  For some of us, they were fun and exciting; for some of us, certainly less so. But we came together in 10th grade, graduated and left together - - the great class of '60!

Think about it!  Consider coming!  We hope to SEE YOU IN SEPTEMBER!
